Myst Online: URU Live Widescreen Stereograms (VIEW WITH CARE!)

I have played with stereogram 3D images in Photoshop in the past with hiking pictures. It is sort of neat to get the feeling of being there. Once you learn how to train your eyes, it is easy to manage the images. Looking at URU Live I saw an opportunity to see if you could get an even more realistic feel for some of those areas we have frequented over time. You can now see some of those areas in 3D Stereogram vision. I present one of the original images first, then a stereogram image for your viewing.

You simply make this page full screen, then pick an item near the center as your eventual focal point. In most of the images there is a light or striking feature that you can bring your focus in on. Cross your eyes and you will envision three similar images. The image in the center is the 3D image. You can then move your focus around and get the feeling of being there.

Looking at these too long will cause headaches, and you might end up cross eyed forever. Look briefly. Relax often. Take breaks. Make sure that you enjoy the experience. I take no responsibility for any injuries from looking at these images.
